During the evening of December 5th, 30 families from Monroe’s elementary schools attended an entertaining and enlightening STEM night in the Masuk cafeteria. Organized by Instructional Leaders Roseanne Haughton, Jim Stoelzel, and Kevin Welch, 32 members of the Masuk Science National Honor Society designed and staffed a variety of learning activity stations. Our K-5 scientists were able to dig and identify fossils, estimate the height of a human using only skeletal remains, guess the age of a tree using the interior rings, make organic slime, and accomplish many other fun tasks. Special thanks to Fawn Hollow Teaching Intern Jilley Reed for all her setup and supervisory help!
