We are thrilled to announce that Jockey Hollow Middle School and Masuk High School have earned the designation of Special Olympics Unified Champion Schools. This honor celebrates our commitment to inclusion and ensuring every student feels valued and supported.
Unified Champion Schools excel in three areas: Unified Sports participation, inclusive youth leadership, and whole school engagement through activities that promote community.
Thank you to our amazing coaches—Don Casey and Jen Fisher—and to all the athletes, partners, staff, and families who made this achievement possible. Together, we’re fostering a culture of respect and kindness!
A special thank you to the Monroe Rotary Club for their generous $5,000 donation (earned through this fall’s Rotary Golf Outing) to expand Unified Sports at the elementary level. For the past couple of years, we have been able to run some programming at our elementary schools thanks to the generosity of Lori O’Driscoll and Ciarra’s Light Foundation. This donation by Rotary will help us expand our programming to multiple seasons with culminating experiences which will be shared by all three elementary schools.
We are grateful for these partnerships in bringing inclusion and joy to our students.
